Movers in Northwest Reno and Somersett

The northwest edge of Reno grew quickly through the late 1990s and 2000s, and the Census figures for ZIP 89523 show it: a median year built of 1999, only about 5 percent of homes from before 1980, and a population of more than 37,000. This is a place of two-story houses, attached garages and a mix of long-time owners and recent arrivals.

Newer homes, standard access

Homes built around 1999 tend to have wide doors, straight stairways and two-car garages, which suits a crew moving a full household in a day. About 64 percent of homes here are detached houses, and the rest are townhomes and apartments. The drive and the freeway

From Glendale Avenue the route is about 5 miles on I-80 and then neighborhood roads, which makes this one of the easier drives into the west side. The freeway is also the main road for any household heading to or from California, so a load for Sacramento or the Bay Area starts from the same on-ramp.

A growing area at 5,008 feet
