The Tahoe region is where second homes, vacation rentals and year-round households sit side by side, and that mix shapes the work. Plan the mountain portion of your day around weather. The National Weather Service forecast for the Tahoe Basin and the road reports from the Nevada Department of Transportation and Caltrans are the sources to check the day before and the morning of the move.
