The Virginia DMV says a new resident must title and register a vehicle within 30 days and has 60 days to get a Virginia license; commercial license holders have 30 days. Those rules are for arrivals. When you leave, keep your Virginia license valid until Nevada issues one.

The combined sales and use tax rate is 5.3 percent statewide, made up of 4.3 percent state tax and 1 percent local option, and some regions add more. Nevada has no state personal income tax. Virginia in the Census
The 2020 to 2024 American Community Survey lists Virginia at about 8.71 million people, with a median household income of $93,170, median gross rent of $1,579 and a median home value of $383,700; 32.7 percent of households rent. The 2024 estimate of about 4,626 people moving to Nevada carries a margin of about 3,052, and the Washoe County estimate is about 145 a year over 2018 to 2022.
