Pennsylvania's short deadlines

PennDOT tells new residents to apply for a Pennsylvania title and registration within 20 days of arriving and to get a Pennsylvania license within 60 days, with 30 days for commercial licenses. Taxes: a flat rate and a split sales tax

Pennsylvania's personal income tax is a flat 3.07 percent on eight classes of income. The state sales tax is 6 percent, with another 1 percent in Allegheny County and 2 percent in Philadelphia. Nevada charges no state personal income tax, so the difference shows up in the income line more than the sales line. The Census view

The 2020 to 2024 American Community Survey lists Pennsylvania at about 13.02 million people, a median household income of $77,971, median gross rent of $1,209 and a median home value of $254,500; 30.7 percent of households rent. The 2024 state-to-state estimate counts about 2,382 people who moved from Pennsylvania to Nevada, with a wide margin of error. The county-level figure for Washoe, about 173 a year, is more stable.
